Country Kids is just what it says - kids learning in a country setting. Walking in the woods, digging in the dirt, and tapping a maple tree are all activities that teach while having fun. Tina Ryan brings the classroom and nature together to build curiosity and intrigue in all young minds.
Programs
Country Kids offers two separate preschool programs:
Ages 4 - 5 meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30am - 12:00am.
During this time children part take in an early morning circle time which includes a brief stretching routine. They also partake in projects that focus on learning their letters and numbers. The children become amazing authors and illustrators and proudly display their work throughout the center. Singing is a large part of each day, as Tina believes singing is a great way for children to learn.
The yearly tuition is $2,250 with monthly payments of $250.
Ages 3 - 4 meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am - 11:30am.
The philosophy for the younger preschoolers is the same as the older preschoolers just at a reduced schedule.
The yearly tuition is $1800 with monthly payments of $200.
Each program takes seasonal field trips. They are as follows: Apple Orchard in September, Pumpkin Patch and carving pumpkins in October, Cutting down a Christmas tree in December, a Valentine's day party in February, a Sugar House in March, April there is a guest who comes to the center and that is the bird lady, Bird of VT Museum in May.

In September the children explore the life of the Monarch butterfly.
The field trip in March is to visit a local Sugar house and learn more about Maple sugaring.
Each spring the children explore the waters around them and find amazing creatures!
A highlight of each year is our guest speaker, the Bird Lady! She brings birds and small creatures for the children to touch and learn more about.Childcare
Country Kids also offers afternoon childcare in their Colchester location. The time is from 12:00am - 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday. During this time the children eat lunch, have a rest time, and then spend the afternoon exploring, working on projects, or going on a field trip.
The tuition is $25 per afternoon or from 12:00pm to 2:00pm is $12.50.

When my daughter began her time at Country Kids Preschool I was concerned that she was behind with her learning having spent so much time in a non-structured home childcare setting. Within 4 weeks of working with Tina she was writing her letters and numbers! I am now very confident that my daughter is ready for kindergarten in the fall thanks to the hard work and love that Tina has provided to us!
